RICHARD was born in Chicago Illinois, on the southern shores of Lake Michigan. He is the progeny of Swedish and Norwegian immigrants. At age six, Richard began his journey into the arts. For twelve years he played classical trumpet. But when the wonderful incursion of British music invaded America, he put aside the trumpet (as his main instrument) and began to seriously embrace and learn acoustic and electric guitar.
