Information
Augustine Sam is mainly recognized as a journalist. He is also a bilingual poet and the author of "Take Back the Memory," a contemporary women's fiction awarded a Readers' Favorite 5-star medal. Augustine is a member of the U.K. Chartered Institute of Journalists. He was formerly Special Desk editor at THISDAY newspapers, an authoritative Third World daily, first published in collaboration with the Financial Times of London.
He won the "Editors' Choice Award" in the North America Open Poetry contest, sponsored by the National Library of Poetry, and was invited to be inducted into the International Society of Poets. He won the Merit Award from this society, as well as having two of his poems published in international anthologies. "Heartbeats" was published in a collection called "Measures of the Heart." And his award-winning poem - "Anguish & Passion" - was published in the "Sounds of Silence" anthology.
His poetry collection: "Flashes of Emotion" was the 2015 finalist in the Readers' Favorite International Book Award Contest.
