This book was inspired by God.  He used me to write this book to bless His people for such a time as this.  I am a Human Resources executive by profession.  I am also an ordained minister in the AME Church.  I wedded my HR and ministerial experience to draw real life parallels between God's selection of David and David's rise to leadership and how God chooses us and predestines our rise to leadership.   I was diagnosed with terminal cancer 4.5 years ago.  I knew then I was supposed to write this book.  God baffled all the doctors with His hand of grace and mercy on my life.  After recovering, I became busy with work, life etc. and did not write the book.    Last summer, I received another similar diagnosis and had to have surgery again.  While at home recovering for three months, I was physically incapacitated, but my mind was not, so I sat in my bed with my laptop and wrote Inadequate, Unprepared But Ready. I loved writing it.  I believe it is a great work.  I share some of my personal journey including work on the Harold Washington and Barack Obama campaigns.   Life has been great and God has been good.  This book is about faith and resilience.  It will create a sense of urgency about evaluating your priorities, pursuing your purpose and realizing your potential.  It will make you think, thank, believe, journal, act and change.  The book has received very favorable feedback.  I constantly receive emails on how inspiring and uplifting it is to the reader.
