I have lived in Kansas all of my life and don't see a damned thing wrong with it.  I was born in Northwestern Kansas, but lived the majority of my life in South Central Kansas.  Aside from a brief detour to the north part of the state, I am right back in the same part of the state where I feel the happiest.  I love the area here and always have felt the story telling possibilities are, indeed, endless. My dad was a Kansas Highway Patrolman for most of my life, so growing up in a law enforcement centered family made a huge difference in how I lived my life.  I even tried to go into law enforcement out of high school, but it did not work out.  I decided to go the more cerebral route and focus on the writing I had been doing for so long.  The law enforcement angle would find its way into my last two books Night Wind and Synchronicity.  I have been writing for most of my life.  As I got older, the stories got longer and I branched out into different genres.  I have done the epic romance with Until August, the smaller, more intimate drama On a Clear Day, You Can See Conway, and I have delved into the action genre with my last two.  Now, I want to try science fiction, go into the paranormal, and maybe do a period piece.
