I'm a Canadian, born and raised in Southern Ontario where I work as a Hearing Instrument Specialist.  I am the parent of two great kids and have been married to the same (handsome) guy for over 34 years.  I've lived in both Western and Eastern Canada for short stints and continue to have fond memories of a six month jaunt (along the west coast of Canada and the U.S.) I made with a friend 33 years ago. I hope to write about it one day.  Our sojourn inspired me to catch the travel bug and I've never looked back.  California feels like a second home to me but I do love living in Ontario three seasons per year.  Being close to water is imperative and I consider myself to be very fortunate.  I enjoy family, friends, hiking, tasty wine (a must) and meaningful conversation.  Although I've always enjoyed writing as a hobby, I never imagined that by the age of 55 I would have become a published author of two biographies profiling unconventional, seminal figures in pop culture history. I am very proud of these personal accomplishments as I have always been drawn to reading about challenging subjects, their lives and stories.  My late brother is one of my greatest influences and mentors as he opened my mind to the possibility that there is no such thing as an unattainable goal.  

One of my greatest achievements is having two local feature articles written about my involvement in my first book, a biography titled John Holmes: A Life Measured in Inches. I look forward to the spring 2013 issue of Hamilton Magazine as Golden Goddesses will be one of three books featured in their "On the Shelf" section.
