We have known for some time now that, fatherless boys and girls are: twice as likely to drop out of high school; twice as likely to end up in jail; four times more likely to need help for emotional or behavioral problems. Many boys and girls are walking around feeling inadequate and incomplete. Many kids live day in day out feeling like unfinished jigsaw puzzles. You know, with the borders put-together but at a loss for what to do with the jumbled mass of parts. I wrote Fatherly Influence because I grew up without a father and was keenly aware of that missing piece in the parental formula. I’ve always believed the US Army has committed copyright infringement because we can only “be all we could be,” if we do it God’s way—and when Father is absent, marginalized, disengaged, or emotionally distant kids can’t fulfill their true potential
