I've lived and worked in and around Los Angeles and Hollywood, in southern California for much of my life. I have always been an avid fan of horror literature and movies, and one day simply said to myself, "I can do that!" And I did.  As far as what influenced me to write horror stories--Have you seen some of the horrific people in this world?!  Need you ask?

I've had three books published, two of which--"THE BEAST WITHIN" and "CAME A SPIDER"--were (for seven weeks and four weeks, respectively) on the New York Times Best Seller List, and both were (in their time) Doubleday Book-of-the-Month-Club picks. Both books were made into movies;
"Came A Spider" under the title, "Empire of the Spiders" Both films were cheap scaries, bearing no resemblance at all to my books--I hated them. My third book, "The People Next Door" was slow getting started, but I still have great hopes for it. I am presently completing "Something Most Evil" which should (I hope) be out shortly.
