A former military intelligence officer and now businessman, travelling and writing for pleasure and a readership that does not want to know what the enemy is doing next. Or even who the enemy might be. Much of my writing is formed by my fairly rural upbringing but also my travels among some remote places and obscure people. I have a keen eye for the bizarre although capturing such in words can be elusive. Am always being encouraged to inject more of my emotion into the narrative - working on that but detached observation does tend to come from all those years writing for obscure, uniformed audiences.
