I have a Ph.D. in neuroscience, a biomedical science that studies the brain.  Although I am basically considered a protein chemist and neuropharmacologist, my interests in the nervous system focus on the interaction between the mind and the brain.  Researchers feel that the mind is the brain, but the research data indicates that they are two separate, interacting things.  This is an issue that goes to the root and heart of psychology and biology.  Most of my writing is related to psychology and the brain in some way or another.  I have written one book on sex, The Secret Power of Sex and Love, that delves deeply into the psychological motivation behind sexual behavior.  Some aspect of psychology is behind virtually every aspect of my writing.  Although I generally focus on topics related to psychology rather than sex, an upcoming book, Sex as a Psychic Power, will also discuss the relationship between psychology and sex.  "Psychic" only means relating to the soul (psyche) and psychology is actually the study of the soul.  My attempt to understand the mind and the soul (or more accurately, a mind-brain connection and a soul-body connection) has been a fundamental influence to most of my scientific pursuits and to most of my writing.  The title of my website, Sex and the Soul, reflects that idea that the soul spends all of its time creating and that creating (not procreation) is a sexual process.  We create concepts, emotions, ideas, literature, art and more, and it is all a sexual process.  Sex is the creative process and love is the creative force.
