My mother made me do it. She suggested I write my first novel, and being a dutiful son, I did. She loved the story, which incorporated part of her own life experiences. Then, I wrote because of my interest in telling stories, based upon historical events. The non-fiction book was due to my involvement in the Cold War as a scientist, supporting the USN in the area of Anti-Submarine Warfare.  I have always loved telling detailed, intricate stories which could have possibly happened. I am not devoted to fantasy, but I write more in the fashion of the late Neville Shute. Real people, with plausible skills and interests, caught up in an unusual event which leads to unexpected consequences.
