Victoria Huggins Peurifoy, is a Poet, Spoken word artist, writer, and photographer who is a twenty one year resident of the Germantown section of Philadelphia and is being called “The Axiom” for she speaks the truth.  She is a self published author with three books and a CD to her credit.  Her latest two books are “In the spring of my remembrance” which is a book of poetry, prose, photography and memoirs. The second book is  “No Expiration Date”, which is a book of poetry for caregivers of Cancer patients She also has a CD out and will soon be going into the studio to produce a new one. Victoria has been writing for over 40 years, but only recently began publishing her work.  Her writing started as a child who was afraid to speak her concerns to her mother.  Fortunately, her mother was wise and noted that this child loved to write, so she told Victoria to write her a letter if she was afraid to say anything out loud, so that's what she did; and she has been writing ever since.  When she retire in 2007 her first book, "The wild spirit behind the voice" was published through LuLu.com and the rest is history. Victoria is gaining popularity around Philadelphia and in Southern New Jersey for what she brings to the table provokes thought. Recently, Victoria performed at the Germantown Poetry Festival in VernonPark, Freedom Theatre and her poetry and photography were exhibited at the ThomasJeffersonUniversityHospital’s KimmelCancerCenter. She is a regular at the First Presbyterian Church of Germantown, Poetry to Poetify and Wesley AME’s Poetry & Praise which is hosted by “Crucial” of October Gallery. 

I am 57 years old and have decided to go back to school to finally complete my degree in Communications. I'm excited about the possibility.
