I have a variety of experiences which help me adapt to unexpected situations.  I have been a daughter with a close relationship with her father and an ongoing relationship with my mother, a mother with a close relationship with all my childen and an ex wife with a civil relationship with my ex husband. I have experienced wealth and poverty, pain and joy, tears and laughter. All of the above gives me the ability to sympathize when people are going through similar experiences.  I also have developed an empathy towards situations that I have not experienced because I realize I am vulnerable to experience anything someone else has. My major inflluences: First my father who encouraged me to be intellegent and sensitive to those less fortunate than I.  Second: Several teachers ranging from elementary school to high school..especially my basketball coaches, spanish teacher, english teachers and social study teachers. Third: My religious mentors who are too many to name.
