He is the co-author of Among the Bears: Raising Orphan Cubs in the Wild  with Benjamin Kilham In Nixon’s Web: A Year in the Crosshairs of Watergate with his father, L. Patrick Gray III. He has been a contributing editor to Esquire Sportsman, Sports Afield and the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine as well as the author of numerous articles in other publications. He lives in Lyme, New Hampshire with his wife, the food writer Rebecca Gray, with whom he co-founded Gray’s Sporting Journal
