Born in Haileybury Ontario Canada in August of 1953, Temiskaming has been my home and comfort all of my 56 years. From early childhood I have been captivated and soothed by the beauty of this region. Hunting and fishing as a youth progressed to photography and poetry in my adult years. Dawn has been my mentor. It signals night's demise, the beginning of clarity, and the birth of another chance to offer a part of yourself back to this world. To leave a mark that will boast for eternity  "I existed, I mattered, I was a part of it!” From the first sliver of pink, its gentle progression tends to awaken senses and stimulate my mind with the wonder and intricacies that nature so generously offers us. Many of my poems were penned while sitting and musing by the lake as daybreak rose and filled the world with renewed promise.

One of my poems was engraved on a granite monument in my home town as a tribute to the survivors of the "Great Fire" of 1922.

I have published three anthologies of personal poetry titled, "Whispers Of Temiskaming", "Agony & Ecstacy, Faces of Love", and "Touching Dawn".

Each year I print a book of poetry and short stories written by the students in my poetry group. These students range from grades 4 to 8 and are from St. Patrick School in Cobalt, where I work.
