It took me 27 years to learn how to write, followed by 50 years learning how to publish.

Background Information

PhD in physics who, when not teaching, spent every availble moment working in the theatre or pounding on my pre-computer typewriter.  My plays have been regionally toured, the last being "With Love, Georgia,"  a bio of Georgia O'Keefe.  Pulitzer Prize winner William Luce ("Belle of Amherst") wrote to tell me it was "fascinating reading." You are correct to presume that I'm old.  Please also presume that I've had a very active and creative life.  I've been writing for more years than most readers have been living.  For all those years, all that writing was "put away" to be dealt with, completed, published, at some future date.  That date finally arrived!  Now those works are all being dusted and refreshed.  The reading public seems to like them. One of my works was honored by publication in a literary magazine's edition of prize winning short stories (Aligator Juniper). What motivates me to write?  The answer is too simple to give many words: I simply do not know how to spend a day not writing.
