Deirdrie LoVerso was born gifted.  She began singing and writing songs, poems and stories at a very young age.  In school and in her spare time she loved to color and draw.  Her teachers praised her for her creativity and admired her love for drawing.    She is like a Jackette of many trades, if you will, being able to sing soprano, eloquently write songs, poems, and stories, sew, draw and act.  Deirdrie's love for acting prompted her parents to enroll her in The Academy of Dramatic Arts and H.B. Studio in Manhattan and participate in plays.  Her love for singing led her to participate in school talent shows, Hal Jackson's Talented Teens (like Jada Pinkett-Smith did), and go into the studios to begin laying down tracks for her demo.    Her great-grandmother, Wilhelmina, taught her to sew.  She created clothes for her Barbie Dolls and for herself, throw pillows, wedding ring pillows, and her own wedding dress that she never got to wear.  Moreover, she finally saw an opportunity to utilize her innate talent for drawing when her hired illustrators failed to complete their assignments and she was forced to create the illustrations for her book "Jade Made Me Do It!".      With all of these other talents at her fingertips, why would she decide to become an author you ask?  Deirdrie's favorite subjects in school were Reading/Writing/Spelling, English and Language.  She has always been highly articulate and possesses a huge vocabulary.  As a child she stunned adults with her eloquence.  She has a brilliant imagination and the type of creativity necessary to be a successful writer.

Deirdrie LoVerso wrote "The Untruth About the Tooth" and "Jade Made Me Do It!" in 2007. She wanted total creative control over her works and decided to self-publish her books. She became a self-published author in 2009.
