Since I am living the Baby Boomer phenomenon, I decided to write a series of mysteries that poke fun at the generation that transformed America, 78 million strong, with one Boomer turning 60 every 8 seconds--now one of the largest and most influential age groups in the country. Everyone I know seems to be talking about retirement, so that's the subject of the first book in the series, Retirement Can Be Murder.  The tag line is: Every wife has a story. Believe me, they do. One of the first things people ask me at book signings is "Are you retired? Is your husband? What do you do with your time now? Do you still have a life of your own, or do you have to do everything in tandem with him, like the Bobbsey Twins?"  RCBM was released in 2009 in traditional format, and in e-book format at the end of January. Selling like crazy!  I've been a feature writer, drama critic, and editor for daily and weekly newspapers and magazines in the New York metropolitan area, including a stint at Cosmopolitan Magazine. I've also had my own public relations company, Events Unlimited, in Princeton NJ, and managed special events for Carnegie Hall's Centennial, including the opening of the Carnegie Hall Museum.  I'm a member of Sisters in Crime and the Cape Cod Writers Center, and I share my life with my Personal Beloved and my English cocker spaniels in Old Saybrook CT and Cape Cod MA.   On May 1, the second in the Baby Boomer Mysteries, Moving Can Be Murder, was released. I also co-founded a non-profit organization, the Breast Cancer Survival Center, which provides post-treatment support and education to survivors and family members. I'm a 12-year survivor myself, and every day is a gift!  A portion of each sale of the Baby Boomer Mysteries is donated to the Breast Cancer Survival Center.    

I've received numerous awards for my work with breast cancer survivors, including the Susan G. Komen Local Hero Award, the Unsung Hero Award from the American Red Cross, and the Woman of the Year Award from Business and Professional Women.
