I have been retired for nearly three years. On retirement I undertook a course with the Writers Bureau and have been writing ever since, mainly for children although I have had one adult story published in That's Life Fast Fiction magazine.
Married to David for over forty years, we have two daughters and four grandchildren.
On leaving school I trained as a shorthand typist and later on completed my Diploma in Social Work. I was employed as a social worker with children and families for fifteen years. This was my motivation for choosing to write stories for children.
I have had one book published which I am currently re-writing and changing the title. My current book for children is entitled 'Doorway to November' and I have published this myself through Lulu as I became very discouraged with the many rejections I received through mainstream publishers.
