Bryan Walpert is an award-winning poet and fiction writer who teaches creative writing at Massey University.

Bryan Walpert is the author of a book of poems, Etymology (Cinnamon Press), and a book of short stories, Ephraim's Eyes (Pewter Rose Press). He received an MFA from the University of Maryland-College Park and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Denver. His work has appeared widely in major journals (e.g. Agni, Crab Orchard Review, Hayden's Ferry Review, Tar River Poetry). He teaches creative writing at Massey University.
