Information
When Karl was 12 years old he discovered his Great Grandfather's Civl War discharge framed and hanging on the wall of his aunt's home. It ignited a love affair with Civil War history that has lasted to this day.
Karl spent over forty years studying and researching the Civil War before writing his first novel. He has travelled extensively in the South and is familiar with the locations he writes about.
He has been in the entertainment industry most of his life. In the late 1970s he became acquainted with Tulsa author and bookstore owner Lewis Meyer who insisted he write about the Civil War.
