Sylence Campbell is a native of Northern New Jersey, a lover of cats, books, and different cultures. She is the founder of an interactive poetry group called "The Shadow Poets Society", where she conducts workshops online with aspiring poets, with hopes of giving them a safe place to express themselves with encouragement and assistance. She is inspired to write by emotion. Frustration, Pain, Anger, Lust, Passion. It builds up and rather than release all that energy in negative ways, she writes the emotion. The driving force behind her writing is what she calls her "Lightning". Inspired by her favorite quote " A poet walks around in a thunderstorm, waiting to be struck by lightning"
