Carolyn Judith Akinyi is an educator, author and illustrator. She has worked with diverse groups of learners across three continents-three countries. She is passionate about education-helping others to learn. Her writing has been inspired by working with learners in their effort to acquire literacy skills and language skills. Ms. Akinyi has written and published seven books. Her  first book; English from A to Z Everything You’ll Ever Need to Know About Speaking and Writing the Language; is a self study guide for English language learners – looking to improve their ability to speak and master the English language. The book comes with a companion Audio CD that is available separately. English from A to Z Everything You’ll Ever Need to Know About Speaking and Writing the Language; is also available in three bilingual editions: Spanish Edition, Chinese Edition and Somali Edition. Her book Learning English for Children; covers very basic English sentences, vocabulary and questions. The sixth title Uluthe, is a children’s picture book that captures a day in the life of four friends.  In expressing her passion for learning, Ms. Akinyi has gone into depth that nurtures a love for reading and writing by giving learners in invisible communities a voice and a platform to share their stories with a world of readers in the book, Bowl of Honey - A collection of Short stories. “Everyone has a story NOT everyone gets a chance to say their story.”
