John Cammalleri was born in Paterson, NJ, attended Rutgers University, and spent thirty-three years in the corporate world in the areas of finance and logistics. Retiring in 2007, he and his wife, Evelyn, moved to Fort Pierce, FL, where he is the president of the Treasure Coast Writers' Guild and a member of The Florida Writers' Association. An avid reader all his life, John's writing has been influenced by John Irving and Tom Wolfe.

Published first novel, Protecting the Cittern, in 2010, which received a 2011 Royal Palm Literary Award. His second novel, The Ibex Trophy, was published in 2011.
