I came "out" to my family as a gay man 15 years ago. My parents, Phillip and Ruth, and my sister Janet have been stalwart supporters of both my lifestyle and my writing. I really couldn’t have asked for a more encouraging or loving environment to explore my sexuality. I’ve only had two serious relationships so far, and my current partner – Jason T. – is the inspiration for much of my recent work. "Modern Love" is my first chapbook of poems. It focuses primarily on love – hence the title – or frustrated love, as well as attraction and those mysterious forces that bind us all together. I also owe a big thank you to close personal friend for her help in laying out and formatting the chapbook.
