I am a medical assistant by trade; a writer by nature. I have written and published two books. I remember reading 'The Jungle Book' when I was seven. It teleported my mind into its pages and I was, indeed, there in the jungle with Mowgli and Baloo. Reading soothed me and helped me to cope with some horrific events occuring in my life. To this day, when my thoughts refuse to settle down, I read. The ability to pick up a book and allow it to influence my thinking compels me to want to do the same for others. It is my humble desire to write fantasy and sci-fi novels as well as self-help books for mid grade children that they can relate to. If one child is filled with self love and self confidence after reading one of my books; if one life is changed for the better, then I have succeeded.
