Pam Harrison is the artist and writer behind House of the Muses (2007-2012) and is counted among some of the first, best known, and most successful CGI artists in Independent Comics. In 2007 Pam took the fledgling Poser comic genre to new heights with the debut of her long-running graphic novel series, House of the Muses: The Latter Days of Sappho of Lesbos, told in first person by one of Sappho’s students, Mnasidika of Sparta, richly interwoven with history and poetry from ancient translations. Her work with the world-wide acclaimed historical fiction series House of the Muses earned her the 2008 Prism Comics Queer Press Grant for Outstanding Series. The series won numerous reviews and mentions and was favorably reviewed in more than 27 countries in its heyday between 2007-2012. The tenth and final chapter was completed and the collection of ten issues were compiled into two 300 page graphic novel volumes in September 2019. Harrison has been credited by Comic Book Resources' Brian Cronin and veteran comic legend Sergio Aragonés as "THE best CGI comic artist EVER". An accomplished penciller as well, her pencils can be found in House of the Muses #3 and a past episode of Roy Duncan's Frankenstein Apocalypse. She continues her storytelling in a gripping Sci-Fi space opera adventure, A Deviant Mind, finally published in 2010, that far transcends its original LGBT audience: Tara, a telepath of no small ability, awakens in a regeneration tube with no recollection of who she is and where she comes from. The insidious truth behind Tara's amnesia is, she has a secret that makes her worth hunting--and it's far more terrible than anyone could have ever imagined. Tara is taken into Imperial custody. A hunt begins to find out who she was and what is going on. When Tara takes it on herself to discover the truth, the more she learns, the worse it gets and she is soon on the run again. In 2018 Pam became Chief Editor of ICC Magazine, the flagship publication of the Independent Creators Connection, a popular culture magazine that promotes other Independent comic artists, with resources for creating stories, along with the latest pop culture interests.
