Official 1SP is a proud Miami native whose identity is shaped by two powerful cultural lineages. His father descends from the Lucayan people—an Indigenous tribe of the Bahamas—while his mother is African American, giving him a heritage rooted in resilience, history, and deep ancestral pride. At the center of his life are his two sons, who remain his greatest joy and his constant source of inspiration. Raising them on his own has strengthened his character, sharpened his purpose, and infused his writing with authenticity and heart. A United States Army veteran, Official 1SP served honorably as a 25B and trained or served at several major installations, including Fort Knox, Fort Dix, Fort Polk, Fort Campbell, and Fort Irwin. His military career also took him across the globe, with deployments to Afghanistan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, and Ramstein. These experiences—both challenging and transformative—continue to shape his worldview and enrich his creative voice. Today, Official 1SP channels his heritage, his fatherhood, and his lived experiences into his writing. His work reflects strength, honesty, and the unwavering spirit of a man who carries his culture, his journey, and his sons with pride.
