Born in the outskirts of Naples, Italy, I was constantly surrounded by great tasting foods, pastries and wines.  On and off I would cook a meal and either bring it in to work, doctor's office or to parties for everyone to enjoy.  I am always being asked for my recipes.  I would cook a feast for my children's special occasions and gatherings rather than having it catered. Like my mother, I tried to teach my children to cook early on, some later rather than earlier, so if I wasn't around they could always make themselves something.  As my cookbook is used, I receive compliments on how great the food had come out and how easy it was to make.  Especially for those who would always be looked down upon whenever they cooked something, they now had a great big happy smile on their faces thanking me for the book and recipes.  That's what I look for. Nonna's Kitchen is a lifetime of Italian recipes from southern Italy, the outskirts of Naples, accompanied with an international flair for only the best recipe collections that I’ve had the pleasure of eating and accumulating from some of the best cooks and bakers that I’ve known in my lifetime from every nationality including recipes while I was a Vietnam Vet in the U.S.W.A.C.  Exchanging great recipes became one of our favorite pastimes along with eating them.  I hope you enjoy each and every recipe as we all do.
