I'm originally from New York and  currently reside in the beautiful state of Maryland. I left New York many years ago to join the Air Force.  During my eight years in the military I was stationed in Spokane, WA at Fairchild AFB and attended Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA.  I earned a BS in Biological Sciences and became  a certified  Medical Technologist.  I am currently working in that capacity at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.   I always had a burning desire to write a book but didn't find the courage to just go for it until recently. I was inspired by Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, Nicholas Sparks, Eckhart Tolle, Tyler Perry and of course Oprah.  I simply adore love stories and immediately became a Nicholas Sparks fan but I always found I wanted to add something to his work.  Maya, Toni and Oprah helped me to forgive and love myself and find my voice. Tyler gave so many of us an opportunity to laugh and made it okay to get our point across without the four letter words. Eckhart said to forget about the past since it doesn't exist and to live in the NOW!  Armed with their help and my passion I self published my first novel Love, Lies & Lab Coats with Authorhouse.com. It is an exciting adventure although it is still waiting to be enjoyed by more readers.  I decided that I could write a love story and revolve that around very real issues and social commentary that affects us all  from day to day.  My ultimate goal is to make people think, remember something, forgive and love more.
