I chose a career in Science after failing medical school admissions, and never gained successful employment as a scientist-one of the prerequisites for my choice of profession was the availability of employument and income for technical professionals. After graduation and without gaining employment became welfare supported, then homeless in the Washington DC/Baltimore area. I then traveled on foot most of the eastern states, California and Mexico. I currently reside in the SKID ROW area of Los Angelos and am self employed assembling my observations and thinking about people, America, science, and the world in the form of Poetry, Essays, and science writings. Though I "Wound up on Skid Row" I still had not found good evidence of any reflecting life to see successess rather than failures in my endeavors-as I had failed at nothing-either my school work and its caliber, or at any of the qualifications for employment. And though the question can still be asked why I live on skid row without a job and a doctorate in science-it has not been asked or researched by any of possibly one million faces I had encountered on my travels and I am still lectured on the situation to "get myself in shape". ( to compile and assemble all of these critiques and to realize them successfully I,d have to be a mountain of a person, an exact paragon of unfailed virtue, ... a speechless machine in a population of the deaf that I could have nothing to say of truth or meaning related to my situation, but only excuse, or defensive response to ridicule, until I should gain employment and have exact credentials and hence status and right. Books and computers are both speechless and deaf, as I above deduced to be essential for visability in the eyes of others and the qualities necessary for an audience and credibility and I sneakily hope I am read and understood.
