Awarded to Joe Beam for his marriage-enrichment book, Becoming One: Emotionally, Spiritually, and Sexually. Joe received the Silver Angel Award during the Excellence in Media's annual banquet at Hollywood's famous Roosevelt on February 17, 2000.


Excellence In Media, is a non-profit organization founded by men and women in Hollywood to counter the perversion, degradation and violence in media. Its President, Mary Dorr, founded the Angel Awards to honor those creative people in motion pictures, television, radio, books, albums and all other forms of media containing high moral, spiritual, or social impact.

Today the International Angel Awards, covered by more than 100 press outlets worldwide, presents Angel statuettes to the best films, television shows, books, albums, videos, and stage plays.
