Writing is in my bones! I have been an avid journal keeper for more than four decades.  Writing is a spiritual practice that keeps me honest and present. I write what I know about from life and my adventures.  Reading and studying literature thrills me. Perhaps that is why I majored in comparative world literature in college. I voluneer at a local elementary school and remind the children of the energy, meaning, and power of words. We read our stories to one another and boast about how delicious words taste.  I also interact with senior citizens at a senior residence. Stories abound and I encourage all to record their powerful memories. One story sparks memories ofr everyone present. Earth rituals, especially solstice and equinox times,  and Nature are precious to me. I have  written seven books. The first two were written for teachers.  Before I commit to writing a book, I sit with the trees and share my writing venture. Then I ask permission of the trees to write the book. Waiting for the answer is hard. i ask the trees for their support because I appreciate many will die in order for my book to have a life. One time the trees declined my book of poetry and I did not follow through with my plans. (The trees were right.) My 7 books explore woman's adult development, grieving, healing, creativity, intuition embodied spirituality, journaling, soul empoweremnt,  multi-dimensional consciousness, channeling,and intuition. I delight in designing and facilitating workshops and retreats. Writing is always a foundation of my workshops and I weave in spirituality, intution, creativity, meditation, and journeying.  My books include: Healing Grief—A Mother's Story, Soul Empowerment, Harvesting Your Journals, and Awaken Your All Knowing Heart I am also a stone sculptor and I return to work with stones when I feel inspiration is needed. This summer I am gifting myself with a 5 week residential artist's retreat. My muse is delighted and i plan to sculpt, write, read, ponder, study cloud formations, swim in the pond, eat succulent vegetables from the organic garden, and play. All is food for thought for the next book!    

In December, 2011, my next book project, We Are Women of Peace received a grant from Maine Humanities Council.
