Mitchell has worked in retail management since 2002. Mitchell currently works at Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse, where he has worked since 2001. Mitchell returned to finish school in 2008, and has been attending University of Phoenix in the pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (BSPSY). Mitchell has an Associates of Arts Degree in Psychology from the Axia College of the University of Phoenix.
Mitchell enjoys writing, both academically and for entertainment. Major influences for Mr. Duncan's written work are vast and varied. Mitchell enjoys such works as the Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Jules Verne's works, Orson Scott Card, Dan Brown et cetera.
Mitchell's primary objectives in writing include creating unpredictable and more realistic plot development, creating works outside the standard conventions of fiction. Mitchell is intent on creating adult fiction that would not be considered inappropriate for younger audiences, no foul language or innuendo. Most importantly, Mitchell is focused on writing for a growing number of readers who want unpredictable and unconventional books.
