While I never became a cowboy, considering everything I have done
I learned earlier in life that the hardest thing to do is usually the right thing to do. And the best way to fight is on your knees.

I have found in many of my own trials, tribulations, and heartaches, valuable lessons that carried me to a whole new spiritual level, giving me a different perspective about life. I have come to realize that the greatest blessings originate for the most painful situations. I have always been a person with a heart full of extreme compassion, especially for the underprivileged in society. My heart breaks every time I see the homeless person, cold, hungry, mentally ill, and hopeless. Yet, its strange how life can seem so empty and lonely, even when we have loved ones around. The pain of the past may rear its ugly head, and yet, at these moments of utter darkness and despair, lies an indomitable spirit within each of us to persevere through it all.
I am a licensed addictions counselor residing in Burnsville Minnesota, a mother of four beautiful children, and an author of two books. "They Loved with a Closed Fist." and "Pearls of Fire."
