Home to wasps and yellow-jackets in the summer and spiders seeking winter refuge, Calico stays so busy writing her dark fiction and horror she barely notices. Calico Skelly was born and raised in the Florida scrub. She is a fourth generation Floridian and proud of it. She has never spent much time in the company of others as she is antisocial and prefers the company of her twenty-seven cats. Children know to avoid her homestead as anyone who dares become a guest in her home is seldom seen again. And if your cat goes missing—get a new one. She spends most of her time writing dark fiction and horror because when she views society, that is what she sees. And not only does she view society as psychotic and confusing, it is increasingly so--verging on evil. Her stories tend to come straight from actual news reports with very little embellishment. And that is truly scary.
