A willingness to participate in activities with some risk-taking like: sailing, race-car driving lessons, climbing Mt. Rainier, obtaining a pilot’s license, flying a sail plane to 20,000 ft, aerobatic lessons-flying inverted, doing loops and rolls, dog sled racing in Alaska and surviving a plane crash in the snowy mountains of Idaho with my husband and dog, all provide experiences for storylines and characters.  Broad multigenre writing activities include a monthly magazine women’s health column, numerous fiction and nonfiction Indie-published books available on Amazon. Bookspublished in 2018  include the first two in a medical thriller series and a romantic medical thriller set in Alaska. I have two more in final stages including one entered in the Kindlescout publishing contest, Fatal Feast. Writing before dawn and watching the sunrise over the Rocky Mountains start each day. Deer wandering through the yard, and my two dogs keep me company. I share writing with a skilled longterm critique group and a local writer club provides a positive educational environment of “writers helping writers.” Our guru tells us to be successful you must -  “Read a lot, write a lot and hang out with other writers.” Our Flathead River Writers Conferenceannual conference each fall. It is limited at 100 attendees. I was conference coordinator for 4 years and continue as a committee member.
