I became interested in writing historical novels based on my research on my family's genealogy. The characters that I discovered deserved to have their stories told. There could be a few more of my more notable ancestors appearing in future books. A book of short comical stories about wild boys growing up is also under consideration at this time. D.G. Black, my high school journalism teacher, was instrumental in inspiring me to write. My English teacher, Spokane Hutchison, gave me the language tools to communicate the stories that flowed from my mind. My Father's childhood stories convinced me that personal stories can be compelling and entertaining.  My life experiences over 67 years gave me the knowledge of the world to draw upon for writing tales of high adventure and human conflict.  I am not so much motivated by financial gain at my stage in life. The self-satisfaction of just completing an epic novel is likely the primary driving incentive behind my dedication.
