I am a professional artist and have been working in my field for more than 20 years.  I am also a businesswoman.  I am a managing partner of La Tienda at Eldorado, a large complex near Santa Fe, New Mexico.  La Tienda is a retail center,  a community center, and an art center.  I was recently named Santa Fe Businesswoman of the Year for my efforts on behalf of the arts and artists at La Tienda. Over the last 10 years, I have been working on my newly released book, Shaping Destiny: A quest for meaning in art and life.  The book examines the relationship between art and life while it probes the creative process and what it means to be a woman and an artist today.  I apprenticed at a bronze foundry in Massachusetts, but am essentially self taught.  I work in steel, not a usual medium for a woman, but one that suits me well.  My work is collected by public and private institutions internationally and I am represented by prominent galleries across the United States.
