My books are about Italian Americans, Philadelphia, food, crime, sex, drugs, and rock with a little roll.
Background
Information
I was an English major in college, and I love literature. I admire Fitzgerald, Poe, Hemingway, Shakespeare, Camus, and modern pIaywrights. I grew up an Italian American Catholic, and I like to explore those roots. I am a big movie fan, with my favorite films being The Godfather, Casablanca, The Graduate, Inherit the Wind, Julia, 3 Days of the Condor, The Silence of the Lambs, and The Lion in Winter, among others. I also love mysteries, whether they are films or books. My sense of humor runs from the lightness of When Harry met Sally to the Dexter TV series.
Accomplishments
I won the Dark Oak Mystery Contest sponsored by Oak Tree Press, which published my first novel, A Lesson in Murder. I have received recognition for my writing from Annual Art Affair, Hidden River Arts, Writer’s Digest, The Philadelphia Writers’ Conference, and the Annual StoryPros International Screenplay Contest.
