Paul J. Ward worked in the Food Manufacturing Sector for over twenty years before gaining employment in Further Education. He is currently Head of Work Based Learning and Apprenticeships for a college in Lincolnshire, England.  Fascinated with Space Exploration, Cosmology and a love of Science Fiction, he wrote his first Sci-fi novel ANDROID: EARTH Book One Of the ANDROID Saga in his spare time and was published in 2012. His second novel, a Fantasy novel called SONG OF THE UNICORN, was written in 1993, before being rewritten for publication in 2013. He continues to write in his spare time and has a number of novels in development.  Major influences with regard to his writing include Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, H.G.Wells, Micheal Crichton, Alistair Reynolds, Iain M. Banks and Dan Simmons. His favourite series of sci-fi books are the Hyperion Cantos (Simmons), the Culture novels (Banks) and the Foundation novels (Asimov).
