I am a published writer and an award winning photographer.  These are the primary ways I communicate my personal experience to humanity.  I'd initially planned on entering the counseling field in my desire to be in service of others.  I purchased a Nikon as a congratulatory gift for myself and my world shifted. Rather than living in the one-to-one world of personal counseling, my writing and photography instead led me to engage larger audiences through the mediums of word and film.   I am a passionate communicator.  Words, photo, film, yoga, contact improvisation dance, and ecstatic dance are just a few of the ways I send and receive messages from others.  My personal mission is to take in and send out new information to tighten the weave of the fabric we humans create.  I strive to unite and draw us closer in shared human experience.  

April 2013: Overlay receives an award from Next Generation Indie Books in the Overcoming Adversity category.

April 2012: Overlay reaches #1 on Amazon for memoirs and personal transformation categories.

March 2012: My memoir, Overlay, is now available for purchase on Amazon.

January 2012: My photo, "Limbitless Ablution" was a runner up in the Kutoa Travel Photography Competition.

October 2011: My photo, "Limbitless Ablution" won Best in Show at the Fall Gathering of Photographer's art exhibit.

July 2011: My short film, People That do Something is now in distribution.

July 2011: my photo, "Out of the Blue" was chosen as a Los Angeles Convention Center's discoverLosAngeles.com photo of the day.

February 2011: My photo, "Flying Over Austin" won first place in the 2011 Austinography Photo Contest.

My 2009 short film, "People that Do Something" toured film festivals nationally and internationally.
