I started when I researched and wrote a social history of the 1893 home I had purchased. That led to others interested in my work, then I co-wrote two preservation applications and finally a series on old houses for the Buffalo News. In 2005 I released my first book, "Through The Mayors' Eyes", which had been completed in 1990. The book is the only one that chronicles the lives of all of Buffalo's mayors.The libraries use it for reference. I released my second book "Nine Nine Eight: The Glory Days of Buffalo Shopping" in 2007. It is an overall history of many of the popular retail stores that once filled Buffalo. It has been a best-seller ever since it was released. My third book came out in 2009, called "They Call Me Korney" which is a historical fiction book based on the true lives of the Polish Korney gang in Buffalo during Prohibition.   In late 2011 I released "Buffalo's Legacy of Power and Might" which is a full-color book that highlights commercial buldings and their history in Buffalo.  In May 2012 "Gangsters and Organized Crime in Buffalo" was released and became a fast-selling book. I also run a local historic tours company and I write all the tours.
