I am an American Black female who, against all odds, survived being aborted by my mother, the debilitating shame of rejection and depression, suicidal attempts, rapes, teen pregnancies, abortions, witchcraft attacks, and being a high school dropout. After reaching adulthood, I was determined not to be poor, and took a GED test in order to get a high school diploma. I struggled with 8 years in college. I first attended the University of the District of Columbia, and then through a Federal government upward mobility program I was given an opportunity to attend American University where I received a BA degree which led to me reaching unheard of pinnacles of success for someone like me. Then by age 35, on a rainy Friday night while riding home, with tears streaming down my face, I could no longer hide from the truth that my life once again was filled with depression and despair, and I decided that suicide was the only way to escape my pain. At that very moment, completely unknown to me, this choice threatened my divine destiny, and instantly, God stepped into my life as I was propelled into an encounter with the Almighty. A brilliant light completely lit up the inside of my car, I heard Angels joyfully singing praise songs, and then for the first time in my life, I heard the audible voice of God speak, "I am your Heavenly Father and everything will be alright." This supernatural encounter opened the door for my entire life to be transformed into God's original intent and I fully accepted the invitation which resulted in my acceptance of my "new identity" in Him as His Apostle.
