I have always liked to read. In fact, even after lights out my parents would often threaten to take away my flashlight so I couldn't read while hiding under the bed covers. My passion for reading only grew as I got older. I read anything and everything I could get my hands on or near. When I was in high school I tried my hand at writing but soon let it go by the wayside as other things (life, marriage, children, college, work, etc) encroached on my time. Then just a few months ago a friend of mine challenged me to write a story and publish it. I accepted the challenge and Poaching Bliss was born.  At the ripe young age of 62, I published my first book Poaching Bliss on Dec. 23, 2012, as a Christmas present to myself. After writing the third book in the series, I changed the name from Poaching Bliss to Wind River Sanctuary to better describe the books and their contents. The title changes are Finding Sanctuary (Book 1), Justice Served (Book 2), and Building Sanctuary (Book 3). This past August (2016), I finished my fourth book. It is an ending and a new begining. At the same time, I re-edited my original 3 books and combined them into Wind River Sanctuary Trilogy to make it easier for people to catch up with my new work.  In Beautiful Valley, Sioux and her Command Team discover a 'dead' spot just a hundred miles from their own Wind River Sanctuary. Sioux works until she is able to isolate the anomoly and unravel its secrets. What she and her team finds defies even her incredible knowledge. Now it's up to Josh and his Commando team to rescue the prisoners of Beautiful Valley. Beautiful Valley effectively ends the Wind River Sanctuary series and starts the new Drakor-Kin Series. Please follow the couragous new friends as they work to find their way in a new-old world.  

I feel my first achievement is the fact that I had the courage to publish my first book. I have not received any awards or certifications at this time but I strive to be a better author with each book I write.
