A native of New Orleans, lazarusInfinity drew inspiration from classic films and books at a very early age, beginning his journey into writing. Inspired by the likes of Charles Dickens and Edgar Allen Poe, he began writing children's short stories along with others that later contained themes dealing with suspense, fantasy and the supernatural. Encouraged by his beloved 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Laverne Hayes to continue writing, he would embark on a literary journey that would continue to evolve through the years. From elementary to high school, and with his passion and talent ever evolving, he began to venture from short stories into playwriting. While studying at both Warren Easton Senior High School and the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, he began to develop his craft not only as a playwright but as an actor; another childhood dream inspired by the likes of Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Humphrey Bogart and James Cagney. While studying Speech Communication/Theater Arts at Dillard University, he became enamored with the works of such literary giants as August Wilson, Arthur Miller and Edward Albee along with works from Greek theatre and the Japanese Noh dramas. Starting in his freshman year, he wrote his one-act play MIRRORS which would go on to win first place at the National Association for Drama/Speech Arts Festival. It would later be produced the following year at the New Orleans Black Theater Festival. Constantly growing and evolving, he quickly ventured into studying the craft of screenwriting. His first screenplay 'KATRINA' deals with themes of vengeance and redemption in the first five days after the storm. His second screenplay 'KARMA.COM' is a horror script dealing with the inherent dangers of social networking against the backdrop of one intense Mardi Gras weekend. In addition to writing screenplays, lazarusInfinity now takes a moment to go full circle with his first children's book, 'THE LITTLE BOY AND THE SEA-reflections from the edge of infInity...Vol. 1' which is now available via Amazon.com for the Kindle. His first full length novel, 'EXODUS-A REQUIEM FOR JACOB FORLORN' is now available.
