I've been a storyteller all my life, making up stories, characters and plots then acting them out with my friends. I studied English at George Washington University where reading poetry and plays and writing papers were my favorite homework assignments. I started writing non-fiction and did that for many years before I decided my heart lay with fiction writing. My favorite authors and the biggest influences on my writing are Jane Austen, Sinclair Lewis, Louisa May Alcott, Edith Wharton, John Steinbeck and Debbie Macomber, as well as my many talented romance writer friends. I'm married, a mother of two boys and owner of a rescued pug named Homer. I have more than a dozen books published and am writing as many as time allows. I work seven days a week sometimes as many as seven hours a day, depending upon my due dates. I also write a weekly, syndicated movie review column called, "Movie Choices for Kids". A native New Yorker, I still lives in New York City nine months of the year and in Sullivan County, New York during the summer.
