Information
Writing has always found me, whether it was as author of a college sports column, editor of a professional newsletter, or much later, editor of The Rural Sophisticate, a literary magazine published briefly during the 90s in Georgia.
Since then, I've had the good fortune to have had many pieces of short fiction and creative nonfiction published in both print and digital forms. One piece won the North Carolina Writers Network Rose Post Award for Creative Nonfiction in 2007.
In 2003, I was a NCWN Writer-in-Residence at Peace College under Doris Betts' guiding hand. I'm a member of the NCWN and also a member of the Appalachian Authors Guild chapter of the Virginia Writers Club.
I've been fortunate to have seen three novels in print.
