I operated a resume writing service for years until I closed up shop to write novels. I dreamed of being a writer at seven years old when I fell in love with the worlds of Narnia and Roald Dahl. I lived in England at the time, attending school in a magical castle where my imagination ran wild in an itchy uniform (bowling hat and tie included). True! I've lived from England to Hawaii, including owning a campground in New Hampshire and as a photographer in the U.S. Navy. All places are fodder for what's in my writing of suspense and middle grade fiction. My dark thoughts drive my suspense (I can do things on the page I would get arrested for in real life), but my son drives my writing of middle grade adventure. He helps with plot and make believe creatures and is my first-reader! I write in an old farmhouse in Pennsylvania that fuels the imagination. It has lots of writing nooks, fireplaces and stink bugs, but I'm still wishing for a castle again.
