My name is David Michael Joseph. I'm a Filmmaker, Poetry/Short story author and Screenwriter from New Jersey, but living in Los Angeles. I have a passion and love for poetry and include it in my filmmaking. I have made four short films. Shadows of Sepulveda and C.A.k.E, the most recent.
Background
Information
David Joseph was born in
Trenton, New Jersey and
raised in a small, Blue Collar
town on the banks of the Delaware,
within a stones throw of
Philadelphia. He had been
writing since the age of nine;
after his father said he would
finance his first book with a
dime a page. David traded in
the pen for a basketball, when
he thought sports might take
him away from the river town.
It didn’t. Later he attended the
University of South Florida.
This was where he learned to
scribe Screenplays. He caught
the writing bug again, and
aimed his eyes for LA, with
visions of penning scripts and
making films. The road was a
tough one. He moved to San
Pedro, the most southern part
of Los Angeles, which seemed
light years away from Hollywood.
It was during this time
he picked up his writing again
and started crafting short stories
about his past and California
experiences, while still penning screenplays(less)
