Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .

J Kat Renner has been writing many stories, poems and ideas since she began to learn how to write. She writes with conviction, clarity, and enthusiastically desires to want to help people get out of pleasing others more than themselves. Ideally, she desires that people pleasers keep their compassion but still manage to hold on to their integrity either by their own standards or by the ways others

Background Information

My major influencer in life as an author today, was facing adversity early on, as a child, through wanting to be compassionate to anyone and everyone.  I would give everyone full attention, even if they had not done anything to earn my respect.  In fact, even rude people who would ordinarily persaude even the strongest among us to walk away, I maintained a nice attitude toward. I tried to make them my friends, even if they continually hurt or abused me with their words or their actions.  I was bullied and thought just by making every effort to harm no one, I would have everyone on my side one day.  I settled into a long-time people-pleasing mode, which would be almost three decades worth of my life. I wrote Our River of Life in order to address the people-pleasing issue which came together in an enlightening spiritual way and it remains to be seen how many people who have the problem of saying "No" will learn to stop saying "yes" to just about anyone.  Through the process of reading Our River of Life" many people-pleasers who read this book will stave off their desire to please everyone in order to fit in among the people they choose to remain around, and seek their own need to pursue their own interests away from anyone else's opinions.  Compassionate givers will need to learn how to please themselves and have compassion on themselves and they can do so by reading Our River of Life!
